Project Service with Dynamics CRM

In the latest release of Dynamics CRM 2016 Online Update 1, Project Service feature was added.

With this new feature, they provide an “End to End” solution allowing you to implement projects on-time within your budget.

The project service will allow you to:

  • Add resources, predict, quote, manage contracts.
  • Collaborate within your project teams
  • Realize your consumption hours, costs and progress in real time.

New Navigation interface

A new navigation and dashboards are introduced.


 

Select projects from project lists – available with overview of the project.


Necessary fields can be entered at each phase of the project – making it easier for Project Managers.


 

Project Contracts

With the project contract function, you can link your quotations and man-day pricing, invoicing information. It allows you to also track profitability of each project.


Project Plan

Visualized project planning and predictions are available. Dynamics CRM will assist you with automated task scheduling features along with tracking the required man-hours and costs. Prediction results can also be used with quotations and project contracts.

As you can see below, Gantt Charts and resource allocations are available with clear views on where are the dependencies of each tasks.


Resource Management

You can enter details of each members skill sets. Based on those skill sets, you can assign the staff with correct skill sets, and also view the allocated man-hours to each staff like below.


Time and Expense

Each team member can use either mobile apps or the web to enter the costs and activity time for each project. It also reflects to the project costs allowing you to track the profitability of each project easily in real-time.

Project Invoice

With project invoice function, you can approve the costs and activities submitted by each project member and check up on the contract agreements. You can also link the costs and sales information with Financial systems where needed.
