Microsoft released the latest preview version of Dynamics NAV based online cloud service called Project “Madeira” on April 11th. This article will be showing some of the end-user specific changes that has been implemented.

Evolved home screen

As soon as you login, you can see the visually colorful home screen.

You can see the whole “picture” of your current business just by looking at it.


Enhanced UI

With this new preview of Project “Madeira” the UI has been enhanced even further from Microsoft Dynamics NAV 2016 and “tiles” display has been implemented everywhere.

Account subcategory for managers to look for financial “Overview”

Until the previous versions, you could not add chart of account groupings but you can with the latest version.

It now has “Account Subcategory” which you can assign groups to each of the accounts you have.


Setup is much easier with the new setup wizard

You can do many of the systematic setups in Project Madeira in the “Assisted Setup”. It allows you to setup importing things step by step for easier setup.


Item master like a “showcase”

By uploading pictures of your products and items, you can now view your Item Master like a catalog/showcase.

If the pictures are too big, you can view it in a smaller tile size.
